Defense Minister Israel Katz condemned the assault on IDF soldiers in Binyamin last night by Jewish extremists, stating: "I call on law enforcement authorities to act immediately to locate everyone who engaged in violence and bring them to justice, as is done everywhere." He added that "the State of Israel will not allow violence and vigilantism, and will not permit harm to IDF soldiers who are fighting courageously against Palestinian terrorism in the West Bank and protecting the security of settlers day and night." Katz also addressed community rabbis: "I appeal to rabbis and settlement leaders to condemn and firmly disassociate from acts of violence."
