Journalist, football commentator and broadcaster Avi Meller, one of the figures most associated with English football broadcasts in Israel, has passed away at the age of 72. Meller broadcasted the English league on the Sports Channel for many years and participated in Champions League studio panels, as well as presented game highlights. About three years ago, Meller first revealed that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer, and recently added that after winning the battle, the disease had returned.
