Prison Service Commissioner Maj. Gen. Kobi Yacobi informed Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara through his lawyer that he possesses "evidence of forbidden contact" between the key witness in the "Ben-Gvir associates case" and a lead investigator in the case who questioned Yacobi and other witnesses. Last week, the attorney general decided to file an indictment against Yacobi for breach of trust and obstructing investigation procedures. According to the suspicion, he passed information related to a covert investigation concerning him to former Samaria District Police Central Unit commander Deputy Commissioner Avishai Mo'alem, which dealt with allegations that he acted to prevent the arrest of suspects in Jewish terrorism in Judea and Samaria in exchange for his promotion in the police.
