Head of the Israel Police Investigations Division, Chief Superintendent Boaz Belet, wrote to officers that no information related to the foreign interference in elections case should be transferred to the Shin Bet without his approval. This is, in effect, a request not to assist the Shin Bet in the investigation without his authorization - while the police are supposed to serve as the operational arm of the Shin Bet for several investigative actions in the case.
