Burnham added that "the suffering of the Palestinian people is a stain on the world's conscience," and that he will not stand by while the suffering in Gaza continues and the possibility of a two-state solution erodes. At the same time, he emphasized that he continues to condemn the October 7 massacre and Hamas, and that "holding British Jews accountable for the actions of Netanyahu's government is antisemitism, plain and simple."
