IDF Soldier Who Wore 'Messiah' Patch Petitions High Court

|
A Nahal Brigade soldier who wore a 'Messiah' patch and was imprisoned has petitioned the High Court of Justice against IDF Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Eyal Zamir and Chief Military Prosecutor Itai Ofir. Parents of soldiers expressed outrage over the decision to reduce his punishment to 'only' 20 days of detention, stating: 'We will not be silent or rest. The system is abandoning its soldiers and harming the IDF's spearhead due to ego and pettiness. We demand immediate intervention – release the soldier from prison immediately!' They also noted their intention to protest outside the homes of the Chief of Staff, OC Southern Command Maj. Gen. Yaniv Asur and Nahal Brigade Commander Col. Arik Moyal.
