The Be'er Sheva Magistrate's Court convicted Dr. Mohammed Azam, who worked as a doctor at Soroka Medical Center, of membership in a terrorist organization. According to the indictment under which he was convicted, after the October 7 massacre, Azam pledged allegiance to ISIS and downloaded information on making explosives and poisons. The court stated that 'the combination of his access to soldiers as part of his work and the nature of the discourse he had with his associates could have led to the realization of active operations.'
