Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced that his country will conduct an inquiry into the activities of law enforcement and intelligence agencies following the antisemitic attack at Bondi Beach in Sydney where 15 people were killed. According to him, the purpose of the inquiry is "to examine whether the federal police and intelligence agencies have the right powers, structure, processes and cooperation arrangements to keep Australians safe." Albanese said the inquiry will be completed by the end of April and added that "the ISIS-inspired atrocity reinforces the fact that the security environment is rapidly changing in our country. Our security agencies must be in the best position to respond."
