The terrorists who carried out the deadly attack at Ramot Junction are Muthanna Amro and Mohammad Taha, residents of the villages of Qatanna and Al-Qubeiba in the Ramallah area. The two infiltrated Israel through a breach in the barrier, apparently in the Dahiyet al-Barid area in northern Jerusalem. A suspect from east Jerusalem has been arrested, and his involvement in the attack is being investigated. Palestinians reported that IDF forces also arrested Amro's father.
