Police yesterday arrested a Beer Sheva resident and his partner, both in their thirties, and an Eilat resident in his forties, on suspicion they were part of an organized crime ring engaged in human trafficking for prostitution. According to the suspicion, the gang members would establish contact with women in foreign countries and cause them to come to Israel to engage in prostitution, thereby pimping them. The investigation included cooperation between police units in Israel and abroad, during which undercover agents were deployed and surveillance was conducted on women who came to the country for the purpose of engaging in prostitution at the persuasion and direction of the suspects.
