French President Emmanuel Macron announced that he had spoken with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. According to him, "Given the significant risk of destabilizing the entire region, I requested that our assets and citizens in Iran and the region not be harmed under any circumstances. I called for maximum restraint to prevent escalation." Macron said that "the Iranian nuclear issue is serious and must be resolved through negotiations. I invited Pezeshkian to quickly return to the negotiating table to reach an agreement, the only possible way to calm the situation."
