IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir conducted a situational assessment with the participation of the General Staff Forum as part of the Chief of Staff's surprise drill 'Dawn Rise 2.0,' which began this morning. Zamir said during the assessment: 'We are in a tense and volatile period across all arenas and are preparing for the upcoming holiday season. We continue to learn lessons, and as I have defined it, the basic state in which the entire IDF operates is readiness for a surprise attack. The drill constitutes a significant part of the IDF's preparations for the approaching holiday period.'
