Idit Ohel, mother of Alon who is being held captive in the Gaza Strip, read a letter to her son at the Hostages Square in Tel Aviv, in which she wrote: "How do we continue to wake up for another day, knowing you're alone there, in pain, hungry and wounded? A beautiful 24-year-old boy, sitting alone." She said that "during this journey, we encounter a world whose value system has become distorted, allowing you to remain there. There are those who call the current situation 'a private tragedy of 20 people.' I appeal to the nation: don't let these voices be heard, remind the government that this is a decisive moment, and we must not miss it."
