IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, Police Commissioner Insp. Gen. Danny Levi and Shin Bet Director David Zini held a joint, multi-arena situation assessment as part of preparations for the sensitive period in the coming weeks, according to a joint statement from the organizations' spokespersons. The statement added that "the situation assessment included a presentation of the intelligence picture on the borders and in the domestic arena, and detailed efforts to improve and strengthen multi-arena defense, combat terror organizations and deal with the phenomenon of nationalist crime. The heads of the organizations agreed on a series of steps that will leverage the relative advantage of each organization with the goal of ensuring the proper and secure conduct of the upcoming elections."
