Gunfire was heard at the Senate building in the Philippines, and people were told to take cover. Reuters news agency reported that troops were deployed at the Senate building amid fears of the arrest of Senator Ronald dela Rosa, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for his involvement in enforcing former President Rodrigo Duterte's violent anti-drug policy. Eyewitnesses told Reuters they spotted seven military personnel in camouflage uniforms inside the Senate building, some armed with assault rifles, and at least four more arrived later.
