Opposition leader Yair Lapid addressed the confrontation between IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and Defense Minister Israel Katz regarding brigadier general appointments in the IDF. In his X account he wrote: "In this crazy government even a basic event like appointing officers in the IDF doesn't pass without leaks, quarrels, slander and nighttime announcements. This is not how you run a country, this is not how you lead an army."
