In the shadow of the ongoing chaos on Israel Railways, which is not expected to end until next Tuesday, Transportation Minister Miri Regev will depart this coming Sunday for a work trip to the United States - for a week and a half. During her visit to the US, Regev is expected to meet with US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy. Last weekend, it should be noted, damage was caused to the railway's electrical infrastructure at two locations, which caused significant disruptions to schedules. Today, Israel Railways announced that for additional work, train traffic in Tel Aviv will be suspended for six days, and the HaShalom station will be temporarily closed.
