Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the government oppose Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara's request for the Supreme Court to issue a landmark ruling regarding the dismissal of Shin Bet (Security Agency) chief Ronen Bar. "The position that the Attorney General is requesting the court to adopt rejects the government's extended hand and could drag Israel into an unnecessary conflict between all branches of government," the government stated.
