Court issues order banning transfer of crocodiles to Ketziot Prison

|
The Jerusalem District Court issued a temporary order prohibiting the state from advancing the transfer of Nile crocodiles to Ketziot Prison, halting a plan promoted by Ministers Idit Silman and Itamar Ben-Gvir. The order was issued hours after the 'Let the Animals Live' association filed an administrative petition and an urgent request to stop the move. Judge Avraham Rubin ruled that at this stage it will be forbidden to locate or prepare the crocodiles for transfer. The order will remain in effect until a decision is made on the request for an interim order, after the state submits its response, by August 16.
