The Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, headed by MK Yuli Edelstein, held a vote on the revision of emergency reserve duty orders (Order 8) and the orders themselves. The committee approved the extension of Order 8 for reservists until May 22, with eight votes in favor and seven against. MK Edelstein said he had summoned the Defense Minister and the IDF Chief of Staff to appear before the committee, and that the next approval for extending the orders would be conducted after the committee receives a briefing from one of them. Yesterday's vote failed after the coalition lacked a majority.
