The IDF struck in Gaza City over the weekend and eliminated terrorist Mahmoud Awad, a commander in Hamas's military wing, who took part in holding seven hostages in captivity. According to an IDF spokesperson, throughout the war the terrorist took part in holding Daniella Gilboa, Karina Ariev, Doron Steinbrecher, Naama Levy, Ziv Berman, Omri Miran and Eitan Mor in an underground tunnel in Gaza City. It was also reported that "recently, the terrorist promoted terror attacks against IDF forces and Israeli civilians and worked to restore the terror organization's capabilities, while systematically violating the ceasefire. The terrorist was eliminated from the air."
