Yesh Atid leader Gadi Eisenkot responded to the investigation by Ronen Bergman and Yuval Robovich on Ynet regarding the lines Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu omitted from the protocols he submitted to the State Comptroller. Eisenkot wrote that "the culture of lies in which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his failed ministers operate, falsifying the truth and spreading lies, is a blatant attempt to rewrite history on the backs of the fallen, the wounded and their families, and at the expense of Israel's future. The Attorney General must get down to brass tacks and order the opening of an immediate and comprehensive criminal investigation. Those who falsified documents and distorted testimonies must be held accountable. A state commission of inquiry will be the first decision in the government I establish. The pursuit of truth is not a privilege – it is the condition for restoring trust and preventing the next disaster."
