MK Yonatan Mishraki of Shas will return in the coming days to the position of Health Committee chairman, after resigning in December when his party left the coalition. This comes amid expected progress in the coming days regarding the draft exemption law, and in what appears to be a first step by Shas toward returning to the coalition. Mishraki is expected to replace MK Limor Son Har-Melech (Jewish Power) who was appointed in his place. Shas stated that this is in order to advance the 'cap' law, which regulates the settlement mechanism between health funds and hospitals. It was also emphasized: 'Shas is entitled to chair a Knesset committee even when it is not a member of the coalition.'
