Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the Yishar! party, sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stating that a "black flag flies" over the proposed draft exemption law. He called on Netanyahu: "Stop before destruction. I left the committee discussion with a difficult feeling that not only is the purpose of the law not to strengthen the IDF, but that you have decided to pass it at all costs. IDF soldiers in regular service and reserves cannot bear the security burden alone. Bring to the Knesset a law that will draft everyone for military, national or civil service."
