Oil exports from the Persian Gulf last week were higher than those before the war with Iran, which broke out on February 28 of this year. This is according to data from Kpler, a company that tracks vessel movements and cargo shipments by sea in real time. According to the data, the average stood at more than 24 million barrels per day last week, while before the war it stood at 23.3 million. Recently, the U.S. has been leading an operation to provide military escort and guidance for tankers to and from the Gulf, through the Strait of Hormuz, amid the threat of attacks from Iran. Despite the data, oil prices remain above $100 per barrel.
