U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff addressed the meeting he held with representatives from Egypt, Qatar and Turkey in Miami, and reported that the parties discussed "the possibility of establishing a governing body in Gaza under unified Gazan authority to protect civilians and maintain public order."
According to him, "We expressed our support for the establishment and operation of the Board of Peace in the near term as a transitional government for civil, security and rehabilitation tracks."
