The government has approved via telephone vote the emergency regulations presented by Interior Minister Moshe Arbel and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, designed to enable the identification of casualties using the biometric database. The purpose of this measure is to allow police to receive data from the biometric database given the scale of casualties for verification or identification purposes. According to the regulations, police will be able to obtain fingerprints from the biometric database to identify deceased and missing persons.
