Teachers Union and Finance Ministry announce: Final agreement reached on salary reduction

|
The Teachers Union and Finance Ministry announced in a joint statement that a final agreement has been reached for teaching staff, which includes a lower salary reduction than originally planned. The agreement will apply, following legislative amendments, to all state-employed teachers working under the 'New Horizon' framework. The salary reduction rate will decrease from 3.307% to 0.95%. The agreement stipulates that there will be no impact on bonuses and grants, no reduction in pension and provident fund contributions, and no effect on the determining salary for employees retiring with budgetary pension. Additionally, two vacation days will be added to the education system's calendar.
