The IDF and Shin Bet have launched a counterterrorism operation in the city of Hebron, from which the two terrorists who carried out the shooting attack in Judea originated, in which Staff Sgt. Ron Yonatan Roitman and Sgt. Yuval Shai Soilam were killed. According to an IDF Spokesperson's statement, 'As part of the operation, which is expected to last several days, residents living in the area of the forces' activity will be able to exit through three designated points after interrogation and inspection. Any person regarding whom suspicion arises during the inspection will be transferred for interrogation by security forces.'
