High Court to Police: Temporarily Halt Operations of Ben-Gvir's 'Incitement Unit'

|
Supreme Court Justice Yechiel Kasher issued a temporary injunction barring the police from conducting 'proactive monitoring' on social networks of certain individuals for the purpose of detecting incitement offenses and expression of any kind that does not indicate the commission of a crime, and in the absence of approval from the Attorney General's Office. The order was issued as part of a petition filed by Knesset Member Efrat Rayten and the 'Zulat' Institute against the new 'Incitement Unit' established by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
