Large gaps in readmission rates in internal medicine departments - one of the most important indicators of quality care - are revealed in the quality and service index for internal medicine departments in public hospitals for 2025. This is the second consecutive year that the Ministry of Health has published this index. Rambam presents the best data in this criterion among all major medical centers and leads in most parameters examined in its category. In contrast, Soroka, Sheba, Meir, and Yoseftal hospitals showed higher than average readmission rates. Mayanei Hayeshua notably underperformed in this area.
