US Ambassador to UN: 'Iranian attack - direct or indirect - will be met with devastating response'

|
US Ambassador to the UN Dorothy Shea said during the emergency session convened by the Security Council that "we attacked Iran with the aim of dismantling its enrichment capabilities and curbing the nuclear threat posed by the world's leading regime in terrorism. The operation was carried out under our right to collective self-defense, in accordance with the UN Charter, and to protect our ally. We emphasize: The Iranian regime will not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons, and it must refrain from any further escalation. As President Trump said – any direct Iranian attack or through proxies against American citizens or facilities will be met with a devastating response."
