The first Israeli flight operated by Arkia has taken off from the United Arab Emirates bound for Ben Gurion Airport. The plane departed after the Emirati authorities demanded that a cargo plane accompany every passenger aircraft flying passengers to Israel to carry their luggage. Another flight operated by Israir is expected to take off later.
