Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said after the round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul that he hopes the leaders of both countries, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin, "will meet in Turkey, along with U.S. President Donald Trump." He noted that the round of talks, headed by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, was "wonderful."
