California resident Amad Akhtar (34) stalked a synagogue in the state and planned to murder a person he believed served in the IDF, and admitted to attempting to assist the terror organization ISIS. Akhtar told an undercover FBI agent that he was tracking a man who comes to the synagogue on Saturdays, trying to discover where he lives. "Tell me what I can do once I find out where this Israeli soldier lives," he wrote to the agent, and suggested murdering him at a random location so the act would look like an ordinary crime. Akhtar also threatened to behead Jews and Christians and requested instructions for making an explosive device for an attack at a mass event. In June of last year, he gave an undercover agent two loaded pistols, ammunition and $400, and pledged allegiance to ISIS. He admitted to attempting to provide support to the terror organization and faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
