The 'Realistic Israeli' reform to strengthen science, technology, engineering, mathematics and artificial intelligence (AI) integration will launch on September 1, with an investment of half a billion shekels. The reform will provide an additional two weekly hours of science and mathematics for all seventh-grade students, open 380 high-tech groups for middle and high schools and 160 kindergartens, and upgrade 180 elementary schools to promote STEM subjects. The Ministry of Education noted that the purpose of the initiative is to prepare students for future needs, tailored to the requirements of the military, academia and the job market, and to return Israel to the top ten in TIMSS tests by 2027.
