An IDF soldier was filmed shooting at close range at the legs of a Palestinian who was standing before him near the village of Faqqu'a near Jenin. The IDF Spokesperson's response did not include an explanation for the unusual shooting and did not state that the Palestinian posed a threat. The statement read: "Earlier, a report was received of friction between Israeli civilians and Palestinians near the village of Faqqu'a in the Menashe Brigade area. An IDF force that was at the scene fired into the air and at a Palestinian. The incident is being investigated by commanders and its findings will be forwarded to the relevant authorities for review."
