IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir conducted a situation assessment and combat briefing in the Gaza Strip, during which he met with Nahal Reconnaissance Battalion fighters operating in the area. Afterward, he held a briefing on continuing operations with Southern Command commander Major General Yaniv Ashor and all division commanders operating in Gaza regarding operational plans moving forward. The Chief of Staff instructed forces to increase vigilance and readiness, emphasizing perimeter security and continuing to apply pressure and thwart terrorists in the combat zones.
