|
An election sign belonging to the Democratic Party was vandalized in Herzliya. The municipality announced it has transferred footage from municipal cameras of the incident and those who committed the act to the police. Mayor Yariv Fisher sharply condemned the incident: "Tearing election signs, spraying and vandalism are not pranks or legitimate protest - but rather an illegitimate attempt to harm freedom of expression, freedom of choice and the foundations of democracy." According to him, "This is a warning sign of the danger of radicalization, incitement and intolerance toward different opinions." According to a municipal source, minors were involved.
