The Council for Higher Education condemned death threats against Israeli academics published on an anonymous website called The Punishment For Justice Movement. "We express deep shock and unequivocally condemn any attempt to intimidate, threaten or harm Israeli researchers," the council stated. "This constitutes a severe violation of all moral, ethical and public norms and represents a real threat to academic freedom - a cornerstone of any democratic society and the global scientific community. We call on every researcher and academic institution worldwide to join in clear and unambiguous condemnation of violence and threats against scientists."
