Shin Bet Director David Zini conducted a situation assessment at the terror attack scene in Samaria with regional commanders from the organization and IDF commanders in the sector. Zini stated that "the attack is severe and painful and sadly exacted a heavy toll in blood. On behalf of myself and all the men and women of the Shin Bet, I offer condolences to the families and a speedy recovery to the wounded." Zini concluded: "I call on the public not to take the law into their own hands and to place their trust in the IDF and the Israel Security Agency, as this is their mission and duty."
