The IDF Spokesperson announced that the military began overnight a surprise Chief of Staff exercise to test the IDF's readiness for an emergency incident on the eastern border, in the sectors of the 80th and 96th divisions in the Dead Sea area. The 'Brimstone and Fire' drill will continue until noon, during which several scenarios simulating emergency incidents will be conducted. Increased movement of security forces, aircraft and vehicles will be noticed in the area, around the Dead Sea hotels and throughout the Jordan border region. The IDF added that there is no concern of a security incident.
