Yisrael Beiteinu party recommended to President Isaac Herzog that Yashar Chairman Gadi Eisenkot be tasked with forming the next government during the consultation round at the President's Residence. MK Oded Forer told Herzog that "it is impossible to expect us to sit in a government that would be dependent on parties that are unwilling to recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization. There is not a single voter who thought we would sit with the support of these parties or wants us to sit with them."
