Likud petition rejected: Photo of Ami Eshed saluting in uniform not prohibited election propaganda

|
The Central Elections Committee rejected the Likud's petition against Naftali Bennett regarding the publication of a photo of retired Commander Ami Eshed. The petition was filed following Bennett's post announcing the appointment of retired Commander Ami Eshed to the position responsible for election integrity on behalf of his party. The post included a photo of Mr. Eshed from his time in the police force, wearing a uniform and saluting. The Likud party claimed this constituted prohibited use of public assets. The chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Judge Noam Solberg, rejected the petition and ruled that a person's professional reputation belongs to them and is not considered a public asset. Bennett wrote on X: 'Another victory for us over Likud's lies. That's how you win.'
