India admits: Pakistan succeeded in downing our fighter jets in early month clash

|
Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, acknowledged in an interview with Bloomberg that Pakistan successfully shot down several Indian fighter jets during a confrontation between the two countries in early month in the Kashmir region. The general did not specify how many aircraft were downed, but emphasized that the two nuclear powers 'never came close' to nuclear war. 'What's more important is not that the aircraft were shot down, but why they were shot down,' he said during an interview conducted while attending an international summit in Singapore.
