Seven dead in West Bank car crash

Parents and five of their chidren killed; baby daughter in critical condition; 117 people dead in car accidents since beginning of year

Seven family members, parents and five of their children, from the Arab-Israeli town of Kfar Qassem were killed in a devastating car accident on the Trans-Samarya Highway Thursday, Traffic Police sources reported.
Magen David Adom emergency services reported at least nine others were injured in the crash, including the deceased parents' baby daughter, who is listed in critical condition.
The accident occured when the family's car apparently made an illegal u-turn and was rammed by three other cars that were traveling in the opposite lane.
Wednesday two people were killed in Umm el-Fahm when their car rolled down a ditch near the town’s soccer stadium.
Police investigators estimate the driver was speeding and lost control over the car.
Since the beginning of the year 117 people died in car accidents across the country.
