Ronen Ohel, brother of hostage Alon Ohel, said at a rally in Hostages Square in Tel Aviv: "I appeal to the Prime Minister, on behalf of my family, on behalf of our parents, on behalf of all the hostages' families: Do not return from the United States without these four words: 'I brought Alon home, I brought everyone home.'" He added: "No letters, no declarations, no delays, there is an opportunity now. There is a moment when you can choose to be a leader. I ask that this year be a year of return. A year of healing. A year of justice. A year of coming home."
