Three Qassam rockets fired by Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip Monday morning landed in the western Negev area. No injuries or damage were reported in the attacks.
Two of the rockets landed near kibbutzim in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council area, while a third landed in an open field south of Ashkelon.
Sunday evening a rocket struck a garage in Kibbutz Nir-Am, causing damage to a number of vehicles.
“We have already tried using more and more force (to stop the rocket fire), but it hasn’t helped,” Nir-Am resident Betty Gabri told Ynet. “We must attack the rocket launchers, but also engage in dialogue and create a real (political) horizon. We must try, even if it doesn’t work.”
Despite the tense security situation in Sderot, matriculation exams will be held as scheduled in fortified classrooms.
In what appeared to be a return to the targeted killing policy, at least eight Palestinians were killed Sundaynight and 13 more were wounded in an IDF strike against a cell of gunmen in the Gaza neighborhood of Sajaiya, the deadliest incident since Israel began responding to the incessant rocket barrages last week.
