However, the State Prosecutor's Office added in its response that "if the rocket fire continues, we will consider limiting the supplies again.
"The changing circumstances force us to reduce the fuel supplies at certain junctures and increase them in others," the State said.
Attorney Fatma al-Azu, who represented the petitioners at a special court session, said "the State is collectively punishing the citizens (of Gaza) in violation of international law."
The petition was filed a week-and-a-half ago following Defense Minister Ehud Barak's decisionto impose the blockade withthe aim of increasing pressure on the terror organizations and further sever Israel's economic ties to Hamas-controlled Gaza.
Last Tuesday several trucks made their way through the Nahal Oz fuel terminal, as Israel renewed thediesel and cooking-gas supply to the Gaza power stations.
