Reserve soldiers: 'Gaza occupation clearly illegal, we will not report for duty'

Activists from the organization 'Soldiers for the Hostages' held a press conference following the decision of the Political-Security Cabinet to occupy Gaza City. During the statement, Reserve Captain Ron Feiner, who was imprisoned after refusing to report for reserve duty, said: "The decision to launch an operation for the final occupation of Gaza is clearly illegal. It will put the hostages, soldiers and civilians at risk." According to him, "It is given by a messianic government that has no public legitimacy and whose only concern is its political survival. We declare that if we are called for reserve duty - we will not report."
